Rick's BIO:
Rick was born & raised in Longview/Kelso, Washington. He Left there in July 1972 to join the Army and retired in July 1992 at the rank of SFC. Rick is currently rated at 100 % disabled.
His military career included two tours in Korea for a total of 5 years, 6 years in Germany, 5 years at Fort Campbell, KY, 101st Airborne, Air Asault and retired from Fort Lewis, Washington.
In July 2013, Rick went to rehab and gave up 45 years of drinking and smoking. He has two sons Richard "Dickie" Jr. and Joseph (deceased). Dickie has blessed him and his wife Karol with 3 gorgeous granddaughters, ages 8 1/2 years, 7 years and 2 months, and 4 years and 4 months.
Since getting sober almost 7 years ago, Rick discovered that he had some serious personal issues that he kept hidden by being drunk. So, 4 years ago, he swallowed a boat load of pride and asked for help.
Rick Resides in NW Montana with his wife of 22 years, Karol. His little farm has a sign hanging above the driveway that reads "Final Destiny".
When Rick gave up drinking, he had to find something that would replace a beer and a cigarette, so he's taken up photography. Rick is currently pending "Peer Support" training w/state certification.
Additionally, he has been accepted for enrollment at the University of Montana, in Missoula, for the Social Service Program, this fall,2020.
Rick will be the WFL Facilitator for Wednesday evenings with the "Topic Box!"
