Perhaps the biggest reason we can have faith in God is because He is trustworthy. As we get to know God's true character, we will naturally begin to trust Him more and more. Experiencing God’s goodness creates a virtuous cycle where we want to press into our relationship with Him so that we experience more of His goodness.

We trust Him to see the things that we cannot see and know the things we do not know. We trust God because He is unchanging. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We trust God because He is the source of all truth.

Your ability to trust God, to take Him at his word and come into agreement with what He says, is the basis for your effective faith. If you feel your faith is weak, you would do well to get to know God and His character more intimately.

The more you know God, the better you can trust Him, and the stronger your faith will grow at the same time!
