God created humanity for intimate fellowship with Himself. Jesus is the only path to access that true intimacy with God. As believers, it is vital for us to abide with Jesus because it is only in that place where we experience the intimacy God intends for each one of us.

It's also critical for us to stay continually connected to Jesus because apart from Him we can do nothing. We are most fulfilled and produce the most fruit in the Kingdom of God when we are most intimate with Christ.

The good news is that Jesus is always with us, He will never forsake us, even to the end of the age. So, in truth, we are never apart from Christ. Even so, unless we maintain awareness of that proximity and nurture that intimacy, then the practical effect will be as if we were indeed apart from Christ.

You can weather any storm life throws at you when you stick close to Jesus, no matter how severe. If life is knocking you about today, look to Jesus. He is the author and finisher of your faith. You will find strength you didn't know you had as you draw nearer to Him.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

— John 15:5 (NKJV)
