Gene's Daily Scriptural Postings

24 February 2022

Do you realize that God specifically chose you to become one of his own? Maybe God knows something about you that you haven't yet learned about yourself. You were adopted into God's very own family when you were born again through Jesus. And you're not some distant cousin way down the family tree either. Your place is right beside Jesus, your brother. God is now your Father. But not only are you part of the godly family. You are also members of a whole new race of people that never existed before Jesus. Plus, God appointed you to His royal priesthood too. That means you are destined to rule in both secular and spiritual matters. God has given you all the responsibilities and privileges of both kings and priests. When you finally get a revelation of that, it changes things.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.— 1 Peter 2:9 (WEB)
