The Bible says that God has already supplied everything we need to live an abundant, godly life. That provision is what we mean when we talk about God's grace. It's there, waiting for you to receive. God's part is done because His grace is given to us according to the measure of Christ's gift.
Even though the grace of God has already been given to you, the Bible also tells us that we can continue to grow in grace. As we gain more knowledge of what Jesus accomplished for us, and grow in our understanding of what that means for our own lives, we begin to walk more closely aligned with the ways of God. This is the essence of spiritual growth.
Growing in grace is simply learning more about God's Kingdom, and then adopting more of His Kingdom ways. You have the ability to do that. You can decide to seek knowledge and understanding of God's Kingdom. Jesus said to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteous ways. Then all the other stuff which makes a truly fulfilling life will be added to you as you grow in grace.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
