DO NOT BE ANXIOUS

We live in a world that is constantly throwing stuff our way, making us worry about this and stress about that. Not being worried and stressed is easier said than done.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

We need to turn our stress and worry over to God. In other words, when you are feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders, talk to God about it.

Pour out your heart to God and tell Him what is bothering you, keeping you up at night, and making you worry.

Not only are you to turn your worry and stress over to God, but Paul says to do it with thanksgiving.

That means even when you are stressed out and worrying, you need to take a step back, pause, and find something to be grateful for. It could be a beautiful sunrise, a kind word from a friend, or simply the fact that you are alive.

Gratitude changes everything. It shifts your focus from what is going wrong to what is going right, from what you lack to what you have.

Something amazing happens when you bring your worries to God with a heart full of gratitude. It is like you are handing over the reins of your life to the One who created you and loves you more than you can imagine.

The next time you feel worried and stressed, remember this devotion and put it into practice in your life.

You might just be surprised by how much lighter your heart feels when you are not carrying the weight of your world.

Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, I am thankful for the Word of Life from the Bible. You have given us life, and life more abundantly. As I read Your Word, I will find comfort, instruction, and the peace that I need for all issues of life. You are the life giver, and You want us to walk in joy and peace. Thank You, Father. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
