Many Christians are generous givers but get themselves into trouble because they don't understand the difference between bread and seed. The Bible says that God provides seed to the sower and bread for food.
The bread is God's provision for our own needs and the seed is for us to generously give to others while also producing a harvest of increase for us at the same time. But when we plant our bread in the ground we get nothing but rotten bread and go hungry. Or when we eat our seed we cut off our future increase potential.
God is the only one who can tell you what should be your bread and what is seed to sow. You can't copy someone else's formula because what is seed for me might be bread for you. Instead seek God and allow Him to tell you what is your bread and what is seed for you to generously give to others for your future harvest. Then you will begin to line your life up more with God's Kingdom ways and find yourself walking in even more of His blessings. | ||
