A great many people are familiar with some biblical truth. "Doesn't somewhere in the Bible say something like...." But that kind of passing familiarity will not set you free. Instead you must know the truth so intimately that you actually believe what it says. Then you will begin to act on that truth you believe. That moment of action is when your faith finally engages the truth. Freedom arrives when your faith takes ahold of the truth you know in the form of action. The better you know the truth, the more unshakably you believe it. That confidence makes your faith unstoppable.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.— John 8:32 (WEB)
