Some people think that they need to pray lots of words over a long time in order to get God to answer their prayers. Other folks will try to get as many people as they can gather to pray about an issue so that God will move favorably on their behalf.
Unfortunately that doesn't work, which causes frustration. Often the more frustrated they get, the more words they pray and more people they try to get praying on their behalf. Jesus said we should use a different approach.
God responds to our faith. So we will do well to make the effort to establish our hearts in a place of belief first. Then we will be praying from a position of faith. We don't need to use lots of words when we are truly in faith. We can simply state our prayers with confidence in accordance to His will, knowing that God hears us. Since He hears us, we know we will have the things we ask for. Faith is not about the number of words we pray. | ||
