Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord, They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
King Solomon paints a vivid picture of what happens when we turn away from wisdom and choose our path instead of following the guidance of God.
Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord, They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies. Proverbs 1:29-31
We are reminded of the consequences of ignoring wisdom and rejecting knowledge. Imagine being offered valuable advice and counsel but deciding it is not worth listening to. That is what happens when we ignore knowledge and wisdom from the Lord.
The consequences of ignoring the wisdom of God are costly. When we reject wisdom, we are left to navigate the challenges of life on our own. We become susceptible to making poor decisions driven by our desires and impulses.
King Solomon also reminds us that we have a choice to listen to the counsel of the Lord or to reject it. When we choose wisdom from God, we open ourselves up to a life filled with blessings, guidance, and protection.
Wisdom is not just about knowing what to do but also about recognizing the source of all wisdom, God Himself. When we submit to the guidance of God, we position ourselves to experience His goodness in every aspect of our lives.
We have wisdom when we embrace knowledge, seek counsel, and allow ourselves to be corrected when necessary. In doing so, we will find ourselves walking in the path of righteousness, guided by the loving hand of our Heavenly Father.
Today, choose wisdom and have a life filled with the abundance of the blessings of God.
Heavenly Father, Thank You for providing wisdom for my life. You know all things, and You know what I can not see or imagine. As You are our creator, I will walk in the wisdom You have provided. You want the best for Your children, and I will not be a fool and reject Your perfect plans. I submit to Your lead today and for my life. As Your Word is first place in my life, I will obey. Thank You, Father, for being an awesome provider of truth in this life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Today, Choose Wisdom And Have A Life Filled With The Abundance Of The Blessings Of God.
