Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

God is not holding out on you. His grace and divine power has already given us everything we need for life and godliness. That's why Jesus said, “ask, and it will be given to you.”

Even though God has already given it to us, He sovereignly gives us the choice to accept or reject it. God will not force you to receive what He provides. We must ask in faith, believing we'll receive.

Part of that asking involves asking according to the will of God. And perhaps the surest way to know what you are asking is in line with the will of God is to pray His promises back to Him. When what we request from God is backed by one of His very own promises, that puts us into a place where our faith can stand resolute.

That is exactly the same place where we see the things we ask for manifest in the natural. The more intimate you become with God and His word, the more you will see your prayers answered in ways that others cannot chalk up to coincidence.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. — Matthew 7:7 (NKJV)
