Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

God promises to return our generosity back to us. Studying out this topic reveals that getting back what we give away is really the minimum that God promises. There are many promises in the Bible that promise we will be given more than we give away.

For example Jesus said that the same measure we use will be given back to us. But then Jesus adds that it will be pressed down, shaken together, and running over — meaning even more than we gave away.

The glorious abundance God draws from is not limited by our earthly circumstances. The Bible promises that God will supply all your need.

But that supply is not based on your need. Instead, God supplies based on His riches. God’s riches for us are the fullness of everything He provides for us through Jesus. This includes a brand new identity, salvation, deliverance, healing, better relationships with others, prosperity, and so much more.

God provides all this by His grace, but He doesn’t force these riches on anyone. We still must receive what God provides by faith, or it’s like we don’t have it at all.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
