But He said to them, It is I; do not be afraid. Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
The story of Jesus walking on water reminds us that even in the darkest and most turbulent moments of our lives, Jesus is there.
But He said to them, It is I, do not be afraid. Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going. John 6:20-21
The disciples are in a boat, battling against the wind and waves, in the Sea of Galilee when suddenly they see Jesus walking on the water toward them.
Imagine being in that boat, surrounded by darkness and uncertainty, struggling against the forces of nature. Then, out of nowhere, comes Jesus, defying all logic and physics by walking on water.
For the disciples, this moment must have been both terrifying and comforting. Terrifying because they could not comprehend what they were seeing, and comforting because they knew that Jesus was with them, even in the middle of the storm.
In our lives, we often find ourselves in the middle of storms, literal storms like the disciples faced on the Sea of Galilee or storms of life like financial difficulties, health problems, or relationship challenges.
It is easy to feel overwhelmed and afraid during those times, just like the disciples did. We may wonder where God is and if He sees what we are going through.
Jesus sees us, knows our struggles, and comes to us, walking on the very storms that threaten to bring us down.
When we feel like we are drowning in our problems, the presence of Jesus alone can calm our fears and bring peace to our troubled hearts.
As you navigate the storms of life, trust Jesus to carry you through the rough waters and lead you safely to the other side.
When Jesus is by your side, you can have confidence that no storm is too great for you to overcome.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the provision You have provided for life. You are the peace in any storm I may face today or in the future. You calmed the very sea, and I know You are there for me. I walk, knowing there is nothing too big or too hard for You. There is not one thing that is impossible for You. I trust in You with all my heart, and I will not lean unto my own understanding. Thank You, Father, for being my peace. I thank You, and I praise You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
When Jesus Is By Your Side, You Can Have Confidence That No Storm Is Too Great For You To Overcome.
