As followers of Jesus, we are supposed to be visible to the world. He compared us to a city on a hill. Generally speaking, the world builds cities in valleys and not on the tops of mountains because it's easier. When you do find a city built on the highest ground, it can be seen from a long way off. Jesus used this as an analogy for our lives. As His disciples, we should stand out and be noticed because we're different. And you don't have to be preachy to be different in places like your work environment either. Instead, you can just do the job better than anyone else in your department. That will get you noticed. Then when someone asks you why you are different, that can be a good time to tell them about Jesus.
