Gene's Daily Scriptural Postings

Jesus said that eternal life is knowing God intimately (John 17:3). God offers this as a free gift to as many as will receive it. A gift must be received freely to truly be a gift. The moment pressure, manipulation, or control come into the process it ceases to be a gift by definition. True gifts are not forced unwillingly on their recipients. That is called obligation. It means you have a decision to make. Will you accept or reject this gift of eternal life that God offers to you? Why not accept His offer to get to know Him personally and intimately? It's a gift with benefits you can continue to enjoy for the rest of your life and on into eternity.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.— Romans 6:23 (WEB)
