There is a real danger in accepting the identity that the world thrusts upon us. The world identifies you based on your past behavior. And that's how other people tend to think of you.
Instead you should look to God and see your identity in the person he created you to be. You see, God was thinking about you before you were even born. Then he wrote down what he intended your life to be like in a book in heaven.
Find out what God wrote in that book and start living the life God intended you to live!
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
