PATH TO WISE LIVING

King Solomon tells us that if we are open to learning and correction, we are on the path to a good life. But if we are stubborn and resist advice and correction, we will go in the wrong direction.

He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray. Proverbs 10:17

When we are willing to follow the signs, listen to the instructions, and make necessary adjustments then we will eventually reach our destination and discover some cool things along the way.

That is like keeping instruction from the Word of God; you are flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn from your experiences.

When we ignore the signs, insist on our way, and refuse to take any advice or correction, we might find ourselves lost, frustrated, and going in circles like that driver who is too stubborn to ask for directions and drives out of the way.

We constantly face choices, challenges, and opportunities to learn and grow. Sometimes, that growth comes from listening to wise counsel, whether from a mentor or a friend, or reading the Bible, such as Proverbs.

Being open to correction can be challenging. It requires humility, vulnerability, and a willingness to admit when we are wrong or need help. It means setting aside our pride and ego and being open to new perspectives and ideas.

When you embrace instruction and correction, you position yourself for success, growth, and a life filled with purpose and meaning.

Commit to keeping instruction, staying open to learning, and being willing to course correct when necessary. The road to a fulfilling life is paved with wisdom, humility, and a willingness to learn.

Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, as I seek You first in everything I do, I know I will be on the right path of life. Your Word in my heart, keeping it before my eyes, and speaking it forth from my mouth is valuable instruction from Your Word. I will then be victorious as Your Word has promised. I ask Your Holy Spirit to help today and in the days to come to remember to seek You first, read Your Word, and speak Your Word in the midst of any care. Father, I look to You for Your help today and in the days to come. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
