BLESSING OF MOTHERS

King David beautifully expresses the intimate connection between a mother and her child:

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:13-14

Before we took our first breath, God was intimately involved in our creation. He carefully made us inside our mother's womb, intricately designing every part of us.

These words take on even deeper meaning as we celebrate today the incredible women who have shaped our lives. They remind us of the sacrificial love, nurturing care, and boundless affection that mothers embody.

Think about it, the months of carrying us, the pains of labor, the sleepless nights, the countless sacrifices made out of love.

It reflects the divine love of our Creator, who entrusted mothers with the sacred task of bringing life into the world.

Just as the handiwork of God is marvelous, so too are mothers. Their strength, resilience, and unconditional love are testaments to God at work.

They are an example of the nurturing nature and tender care of God.

On this special day, please take a moment to honor the mothers in our lives. Express our gratitude for their love, wisdom, and unwavering support.

Whether they are with us in person or watching over us from heaven, we should cherish the legacy they have left in our hearts.

As we do, remember to thank God for the gift of mothers. In their love, we glimpse His deep, unending, and eternal love for us.

Treasure the incredible blessing of mothers in our lives. To all the Mothers reading this devotional today, Happy Mother's Day!

Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, You have all things that have to do with life and godliness. When You made mothers, You had a definite purpose and filled her with a special love like no other. As we celebrate Mothers Day today, may that love be extended from mothers to children and children to mothers. Only You and the love You give to others when lived for You is like no other. You had and have a perfect plan. May each one of us search to know that plan in Your Word. Thank You, Father God. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
