Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

The beauty of truth is that it can be believed before it is seen. In fact, it must be believed in order for it to be seen. This order of things, believing before seeing, is the essence of faith.

Secular people use this type of faith all the time. For example, every house required a builder to believe it could be built before it existed. No Olympic champion ever got the gold medal without first believing he or she could win.

The key is, what do we believe? It’s vital that what we believe is true.

If we believe lies or disbelieve the truth then we won't see the truth manifest in our lives as fully as God intends for us. That path is fruitless.

When God's word conflicts with your feelings, your feelings are lying to you. Get so intimate with the God’s truth that it is big enough for you to cling to when your feelings scream for you to let go of the rock.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (MEV)
