So much of the victorious Christian life is simply a matter of showing up. Through faith and patience you will inherit the promises of God. Yet far too often the enemy is allowed to run amok in our world simply because believers have forfeited and abandoned the territory.

We forget that we are more than conquerors through Christ. Those two words, “more than” are key. Conquerors fought the war to win it. Jesus is the conqueror and He already won the war. Our role as “more than” conquerors is to enjoy the victory He won on our behalf and enforce that victory when necessary.

That means we quitting is not an option for us.

There is a reason we can press through discouragement or the temptation to quit doing the good things that God has laid on our heart to do. It’s because we are promised that we will see fruit in good time.

It bears repeating. It is through faith and patience that you will inherit the promises of God.
