What you focus on expands. Our minds get dominated by the things we fill them up with. We get to choose whether it's worldly or godly stuff we're putting in.
If you spend your time watching the world's fear-filled news, fear will dominate your thinking. If your entertainment consists of violence, or stories where people are cheating one another, it will negatively affect your thinking and damage your heart.
However, when you invest your time pursuing more intimacy with God, and fill your mind with more wholesome entertainment and godly activities, then it will have a positive impact on both your mind and your heart. Then it will overflow as a positive force on your world around you too.
The good news is that you can change your focus to the things of the Kingdom of God. Then you will start to see Kingdom results in your life! | ||
