Knowledge is increasing at breakneck pace in our world today. Yet things seem to be going from bad to worse in many arenas just the same. The problem is a lack of understanding to go with that knowledge. Knowledge without understanding strengthens our pride but love builds up and encourages others to grow in wisdom.

And it’s through wisdom that we truly gain understanding. Think about how the three are related. Knowledge is the acquisition of information. Wisdom is the correct application of that information. And understanding is the enlightened discernment of how the application of that information will connect to the wise application of other information.

Love is the key to that highest level of understanding because love sets aside self-importance so we can truly reflect the Father's heart and character. When you show people God's character in this manner it brings glory to Him. Therefore you will do well to let love lead you.
