Godly humility keeps our hearts soft and trainable and responds positively to the things of God. It helps us stay in agreement with Him. God says some amazing things about us as New Testament believers.
He’s adopted us as His very own sons and daughters. He’s made us joint heirs with Jesus. He’s given us the very authority of Jesus. And He sent the Holy Spirit to live within us, guide us into all truth, and empower us to accomplish the supernatural in our world. True humility agrees with those things and acts accordingly.
False, worldly humility disagrees with what God says and instead the believer constantly debases and devalues self. Choose to be humble and agree with what God says about your new identity in Christ because that is who you truly are now. | ||
