Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

11 May 2022

Far too often we feel the need to point out what others are doing wrong or what we see they should be doing instead. Often that compulsion is motivated from a sincere desire for what we see as their best interest. But here's the thing. It's not your job to fix other people. It's exhausting and drives people away from you. Besides, Jesus never assigned you the task of fixing others. Instead He instructed us to love one another. Since love is not controlling, love is not about making people behave the way we want them to. Instead of trying to change others, relax. Take the issue to God and see what He has to say about it.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. — John 13:34 (WEB)
