Faith drives out fear. That’s good news because growing in faith is something you do. A good place to start is with the promises of God. Knowing the promises of God deep down gives us faith because it is through these promises that the Kingdom of God works.
In fact, the Father wants you to receive His Kingdom, so He wants you to believe His promises. It gives Him pleasure to see you operate in Kingdom ways. Jesus said it’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom of God. That’s the same Greek word the Father used at the baptism of Jesus when He said He was well pleased with Jesus. It means, “to be well pleased, to think it good.”
Obviously when we live our lives in line with the ways of the Kingdom of God we experience the Father’s blessings. That pleases God. Also, as we align our lives with the ways of the Kingdom and experience God’s blessing we are living lives of faith. And that is exactly the kind of faith that pushes fear out of our lives. | ||
