There is a war raging all around us, the ultimate battle of good and evil for our very souls. Jesus laid His own life down to secure the victory for us. Our part in the war is twofold.
First, we are responsible for choosing to receive that victory Jesus gave us. You are more than a conqueror in Christ. Those who conquer must win the war. Since Jesus did that, you now can receive all the benefits enjoyed by the victor without having to personally fight the war.
But our enjoyment of that victory is not automatic because the enemy often still acts as if he’s still got a chance to win. That means we are also responsible for enforcing the victory Jesus won. Just like an occupying army must enforce the victory on the country they defeated, we are responsible for enforcing the victory of our King Jesus.
Spend so much time going over and over the victory Jesus won for you that you can’t help but believe it. Then you will see amazing things happen in response to your faith. | ||
