When the author Luke opens the book of Acts, he says his gospel contained all that Jesus began to both do and to teach. Jesus got things started. Now He calls on you and me to continue what He started, both the doing and the teaching. In fact, Jesus said that those who believed in Him and what He did would do even greater works than He did. That's hard to get our minds around. But since Jesus said we'd do greater things than He did on this earth, then we should at least expect to do the same things He did. Our teaching should be accompanied by our doing as the Holy Spirit works through us in the same supernatural way as Jesus. Are you willing to continue what Jesus started? If so, say yes to God and ask Him to teach you how to do the things Jesus did so you can bless others more.

The first book I wrote, Theophilus, concerned all that Jesus began both to do and to teach— Acts 1:1 (WEB)
