Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

03 September 2024

As Christians we believe God is the source of our victories and are happy to sing His praises after we see the victory is won. However, the more common model we see in the Bible is folks singing God's praises before their victory is won.

Praise isn't produced when everything is going right in our lives. Instead, praise moves things into the right direction in our lives because God is right there in the midst of our praises. He inhabits our praises and is enthroned in them.

That means when you praise God, you bring Him into your situation. And when things are going sideways in your world is exactly the time when you most need God’s presence to impact those situations.

Besides, we know that Jesus already won the victory on our behalf. Now, because we are more than conquerors in Christ, our role is to enforce that victory Jesus won for us. Praise God!

But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.

— Psalms 22:3 (NKJV)
