We all make mistakes and mess up. The natural response when we do is to condemn ourselves and withdraw from God. We can feel like we are unworthy to be in His presence. But that’s our worldly flesh talking.
In truth, we weren’t able to approach God in the first place because of our own goodness. It is only through our faith in Jesus and His goodness that we had any hope of entering God’s presence.
You see, God chose you. He chose to love you at your worst. And He still loves you today, no matter what you do. In fact, He loves you so much there is nothing you can do about it. You can’t make Him love you any less than when He originally sent His own Son to die in your place, just in the hope that He might have a relationship with you.
His love for you will never change. God's love is so overwhelming that no one is beyond its reach, no matter what horrible things they've done.
God’s opinion is really the only one that matters. And He chose you! | ||
