We live in an instant society where many are prone to stand in front of the microwave oven, tapping their foot wanting it to hurry up. We would do well to become more patient. Fortunately patience is part of the fruit of the spirit. It is already inside us because of our relationship with Jesus, just waiting to be released. Time in God's presence is the best way to grow in patience, which is key to inheriting the promises of God. Preparation time is never wasted time!

We desire that every one of you show the same diligence for the full assurance of hope to the end, so that you may not be lazy, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.— Hebrews 6:11-12 (MEV)
