Many people attempt to misapply the law of sowing and reaping to finances in a way that fuels selfishness. But that's not the way it works. We cannot bribe God with money to our own selfish ends.

Instead, we see the blessings of God’s promises in the spirit. Then we release our faith to pull them from the spiritual into the natural. Our faith can only appropriate what God already makes available through His promises.

And the primary reason for blessings is to advance the Kingdom of God so we can bless others. You cannot give away what you don’t already possess yourself. We bless others from the overflow of what have. Therefore, we each have a responsibility to move beyond having enough for our own basic survival into a place where we have the means to be that blessing for others.

There is nothing at all selfish to the process of sowing and reaping when it is operating correctly in the Kingdom of God.
