Hope and optimism should be a big part of what we are known for as citizens of the Kingdom of God and followers of Jesus. The hope we have in Jesus is steadfast and sure. It anchors our soul in the very presence of God.
We may be going through tough times. Everyone does. But as believers, we know the tough times are temporary. Things will get better for us. We can read the end of the book. We know that Jesus wins. So no matter what the enemy brings our way, we know that we overcome in the end.
That right there is reason for optimistic hope!
The only requirement is that we don’t lose heart. The enemy might whisper lies to you in order to shake your confidence in God’s promises. He might try to destroy your hope with disappointment. Don’t let yourself grow weary or faint as you exercise faith and patience to receive that promise.
Instead, build yourself up in your most holy faith by praying in tongues and watch the power of God’s grace be released on your behalf. |
