Jesus intends for His own joy to fill each of us until it overflows. Unfortunately many Christians don't ever spend enough intimate time with Jesus to ever really experience that joy in a meaningful way.

Unfortunately far too many believers fixate on all the negative things going on in their world and are remarkably unpleasant to be around as a result. There is little to no joy in their lives as they criticize and tear down everything and everyone around them. Far too often folks cringe when they see believers like this coming towards them.

According to Jesus, we should be so full of His joy that it spills out on those around us. People should be thrilled to see us coming because they know they will be lifted up by our infectious joy. That is one of the results of spending time with Jesus.

If you want more joy in your life, then the surest way to get some is to spend more time with Jesus!
