The beauty of truth is that it can be believed before it is seen. In fact, it mustbe believed first in order for it to be seen. If we believe lies or disbelieve the truth we won't see the truth manifest in our lives as fully as God intends for us.
That’s one of the reasons we need to let the truth of God’s word be our plumb line. The truth found in the Bible is our fixed reference point. It’s unshakable and does not move. Our feelings can and often do. They’ll betray us as a result.
Your emotions are fickle and easily swayed by the world around you. Don’t let your emotions control you. If you do, it will be a massive hindrance to your faith. Not only that, but letting your emotions control you is one of the more common ways you can walk in the flesh instead of walking in the spirit. |
