Our generosity in giving to others is a reflection of God's righteous character living through us. Not only did God give us His only Son, but He also gives us His very name by adopting us into His family through Christ. There’s no denying God has been outrageously generous to every single one of us.
When we are in turn generous to others it exposes God's generous nature to those around us. And it turns out there is absolutely no reason for us not to be generous. Think about it.
God both is the source of whatever we have to give away anyway. Without Him, and what He provided to you through His promises, you wouldn’t have enough for yourself, much less extra to give away.
Not only that, but God also promises to multiply back to you what you give away! Once you start believing those promises to multiply back what you give away, there is no longer any real reason not to be generous.
Why not ask God how He would have you show off His generosity to someone today? |
