The world gets things backwards and determines a person's identity by what they do. It's different in the Kingdom of God. There, identity is determined by how we relate to Jesus. Once that’s established, then everything we do flows out of that identity.

When you look at all the ministry stuff you do (or anything else you do) as your source of value and identity, it puts a worldly perspective onto your own view of yourself. Unfortunately life happens. Seasons change. That thing you do may change or go away. If you drive your identity from it, you’ll face an identity crisis when it does.

Fortunately, there’s a better way in the Kingdom of God. Instead, find out who you are in Christ. Once you get a solid revelation your true identity in Christ nailed down, then everything you do will flow out of that identity. When you get to that place you’ll likely find everything you do will become ministry.
