Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings.

27 June 2022

God intends for His people to do good works. Many believers have a good understanding that they are saved by grace through faith, apart from their own works. Unfortunately some folks stop there without realizing why. God has plans for each of us. Those plans involve us doing good works. Those good works don't make us "more saved.” That part's already been sorted. But they can have a massive impact for the Kingdom of God. For one thing, the good works we do bring glory to God. They point others to Jesus, who is the source of our strength and our ability to overcome and succeed. When you thrive and are recognized for it, that glorifies God. Plus, it blesses other people in the process. Make it a point today to do everything you put your hand to with as much excellence as you possibly can. When you do good works with excellence, you bring your life in line with God's plan for you. Building that habit opens the door for promotion as you demonstrate faithfulness in this area.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we should walk in them.— Ephesians 2:10 (MEV)
