There are two big pieces to experiencing the best life God intends for us: God's grace, and our faith. God's grace supplies the fullness of all that's necessary for life and godliness. That grace of God reaches down with perfect provision for our every need. Yet until our faith rises up to meet God's grace, and draws it across from the spiritual to the natural world, we have only received God's grace in vain. Some think that if we have any part whatsoever in the process, then it somehow diminishes God. That's not the case because God still gets the glory. What we get is the blessing. Grace is God's gift to us. Until you receive a gift, you don't actually possess it. Unless you possess the gift, then you cannot receive the full benefit of it. It is by your faith that you access the grace that God offers to you and take possession of it in your own life. Grace and faith work hand in hand. Your faith cannot receive what God's grace has not already provided. Fortunately you can renew your mind to the fullness of what God's grace makes available to you. As your belief in that provision of God grows, you can then activate your faith and access all of it. That's the point where you walk in the ways of the Kingdom of God. It's exciting indeed!
Through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.— Romans 5:2 (WEB)
