Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings.

In the Bible, a person's name often goes beyond a simple label to identify them. Many times someone's name reveals something about their character and their destiny. Sometimes names were even changed to indicate that change in destiny. For example, Jesus changed Simon's name to Peter because he would be a solid rock in the church. Paul changed his name from the Jewish name Saul as an indication of his destiny as Apostle to the Gentiles. God has many names. Each of them reflects a different aspect of His character and how He relates to us. When you believed in Jesus you were adopted into God's very own family. That means you also have the very name of God the Father too. His nature is now in you because the Holy Spirit now lives in you. That new name you now carry indicates significant changes in your character and destiny. You will do well to invest the time seeking God to see how He intends that to look for your life.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named— Ephesians 3:14-15(MEV)
