Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

11 December 2021

There is tremendous power found in focusing our attention. The Bible tells us to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. Jesus said we should seek first God's Kingdom. When our attention is focused in the right direction our lives begin to line up in the right order. Then, as a result of first seeking the Kingdom of God, Jesus said all the other stuff life requires would be added to us. When we let go of all the junk in our past and instead focus on where we are headed with Jesus, we will accelerate our journey towards the good destiny God plans for us. Stop digging up your mistakes, fears, and failures. Invest time meditating on the new you God is transforming you into because of Jesus. Look to your own future and the things God has in store for you, both in this life and in eternity. God has nothing but good things planned for you. In Christ you can indeed do all things. Place your hope in Him and begin to walk in His ways as you focus more and more on His Kingdom.

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead — Philippians 3:13 (NKJV)
