Gene's Daily Scriptural Postings

14 December 2021

Jesus said He is the bread of life. He satisfies the hunger and thirst of all who come to Him. As believers in Jesus we no longer have to beg God to satisfy that spiritual hunger and thirst anymore. The moment we are born again we have access to every spiritual resource God can offer. All of it is already ours, right now, today. That's why singing songs as believers about how desperate we are for God, or begging for the Holy Spirit to come are so silly. That's like sitting at a banquet table singing about how hungry we are, "if I only had some food." The food is right in front of you. Put it in your mouth! Begging God for something He's already given you makes no sense. Instead, learn what you already have in Christ. Believe it. And then receive it. The Holy Spirit resides inside of you. So asking Him to, "come down,” is silly. Jesus said rivers of living water will flow from the hearts of all who believe in Him. Just open the tap and let it flow! Everything you need is already inside you because you are now in Christ. Don't let ignorance or unbelief hold you back any longer.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me shall never hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst."— John 6:35 (MEV)
