Gene's Daily Scriptural Postings

Inner peace should be one of the things that we believers are known for. Jesus gave us His peace. He said so. Since He gave it to us, peace should be our steady state of being. Paul even told us how to activate that peace when the pressures of life come. We do this by choosing not to become anxious. Instead we pray and give all those problems and potential worries to God. That's how we experience the supernatural peace of God, even when the world around us is falling apart. Jesus also tells us that peace brings joy, that we should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. That same Greek word that means "be of good cheer" also means "be courageous" too. Jesus conquered the world. He has overcome every problem the world's cursed broken system could throw at Him, including death. Talk about a reason to be joyful! Plus, when you get a revelation that Jesus has conquered every problem including the big ones like sin and death, then you can be courageous in everything you do too. You are in Christ and He already won the victory you need right now. So be bold!
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.— John 16:33 (HCSB)
