The people we spend time with have a big impact on our future. Over time we change to become like those we associate with the most. Some psychologists have even said that we become the average of the five people we spend the most time with. If the people around you are foolish, then your attitudes and decisions will become more foolish too. Likewise, spending more time with wise people will help us grow more wise ourselves. Therefore it is important that we choose our friends wisely. The best choice we can make is to spend time in the very presence of God. When three of the people you spend the most time with are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, you dramatically raise the average of your top five. That time with God will do more to help you step into your destiny than just about anything else you can do.
He who walks with wise men will be wise, but a companion of fools will be destroyed.— Proverbs 13:20 (MEV)
