“then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,” (2 Peter 2:9)
The Bible contains examples of how humankind did not escape the consequences of its choices. The world was inundated with the waters of the flood, and cities were reduced to ashes for the behavior of their citizens.
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,” (Deuteronomy 30:15)
Choices have inevitable consequences, and they have inescapable consequences.
To be recognized as good in the world is to be the light to the world around you. The world’s demands of pureness, truth, and goodness on you, as well as on society, are difficult.
This requires hard work, diligence, and great sacrifice. This is why those who follow God, who submit willingly, even joyfully, to the commandments of God, often draw the focus of those who do not believe and go out of their way to cause pain and suffering.
To be righteous or rebellious is a matter of choice if we choose to have goodness in our lives because of our faith in Jesus.
God will rescue us. He will never let us be alone. God is our faithful rescuer in all of our trials. He knows how to protect and care for those He loves and who love Him.
Trials will come our way, but our faith in God shows us that we have a rescuer and an advocate who cares for us with unconditional love.
We know God’s love for us is real through Jesus. Knowing this in faith, we also know that it is our obligation to choose His friendship and love. In faith, we love Him in return every day in our thoughts, words, and deeds.Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.
“Heavenly Father, You have given me a choice each day. I will choose to follow You and Your Words, You are the One who rescues and cares for me with such unconditional love. I will keep my mind renewed with Your Word each day, knowing the Love You have for me. Thank You for such Love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
