People can be intimidating. If we let them, they can frighten us and prevent us from moving forward with the things God has for us. Peer pressure can be a powerful force against us, causing discouragement and pushing us to compromise. Or, we can let others distract us from doing what God has called us to do. For example, arguing with people online accomplishes very little. In fact, Paul instructed us to avoid foolish disputes because they generate strife. The enemy will use that strife to pull you way off course from what God has assigned you to do for His Kingdom. Instead, move forward with those things God gave you to do. Focus your attention on Jesus. After all, He is the author and finisher of your faith. Consistently looking to Jesus will prevent disapproving faces or angry voices from intimidating you or diverting you from the things of God.
