Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings.

19 December 2022

It's natural to think that the things we are going through are totally unique and that no one has ever experienced anything like what we are experiencing. Those thoughts can lead us to thinking that we are uniquely flawed or that no one can possibly know our pain. However the Bible tells us this truth: There is nothing new under the sun. When it comes to the human experience, what has been will be again. Sure the technology changes and knowledge available to mankind keeps increasing. But the emotions and problems each of us experience are nothing new. Others have experienced them before us and most likely there are others who are having similar problems and experiences right now. Jesus understands and can empathize with your problems, weakness, and sin. He was tempted in every way that you (and I) are, yet did not sin. Take your pain and problems to Jesus. He has solutions and healing for every single one of them.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. — Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NIV)
