AUDIO VERSIONGOD UNDERSTANDSAt Christmas, we see that the Son of God became a man, and He entered our world with all its brokenness, sin, and suffering. Jesus experienced all of the human emotions, temptation, joys, sorrows, and everything in between.

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15–16

Jesus is entirely God and became man fully. He understands what it is to live as a human in this world, and Jesus knows the pain and frailty of the human body.

He came as a baby and lived a perfect life to save us, but He still endured all the complexities of human life. Jesus knew hunger and thirst, cold and heat, and he worked long days as a carpenter, possibly injuring himself many times.

Jesus never sinned when His siblings teased Him, and He never despised the people who whispered about His parentage.

God understands what it feels like to be human and how harsh this world can be. He created the world, but He also lived here, in human flesh, for over thirty years.

He is all-knowing and all-seeing, but He also inhabited a human body. Jesus understands, and He even understands temptation.

Jesus is not indifferent to our experiences and emotions. He knows them, and He has experienced them. Jesus can say to each of us, “I get it. I understand.” Whatever you are facing right now, know that you are not alone. God understands, and God invites you to come to Him and receive His grace to help in your moment of need.

Come boldly to God's throne today, and there you will receive God’s mercy and find grace enough to help you when you need it most.

Do you struggle to see God as someone who understands what you go through? Where do you look when you are tempted to forget God’s grace? How can you draw near to God in confidence today?Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

“Heavenly Father, I come before Your throne today. I need Your mercy and grace each day. I need Your guidance and the strength to help in time of need. You are the giver of life itself, and You know what is best for me. I receive all that You have provided for me as I receive Your grace in time of need. Thank You for such a worry-free life I have available in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
