Romans 14:1-23 Bible in a Year:
AUDIO VERSIONBUILDING PEOPLE UPGod wants us to use what we say to build other people up. Sometimes our words put others down, and we thoughtlessly throw our words around and tear people down.
“Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.” Romans 14:19
God is at work in our lives at different speeds and times. Another person understands differently than you, and that is how it works. When we fit together, we cause each other to grow.
“that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.” 1 Corinthians 12:25
We are made up of people with individual gifts, and no person is whole without others. We should build one another up, and we will also be encouraged back.
We are not responsible for everyone, but we are accountable to everyone. God expects us to do whatever we can to help them.
What if we, as Believers, really did what Romans 14:19 says?
What will you do differently today to build people up?Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.
“Heavenly Father, I want to be more like You, Jesus. I must walk in the Love You have provided through Your Son Jesus. I will be so careful what comes out of my mouth as well as my actions, as Your Word in my heart must be shown to others. You said that it is by Love that others will know I am a disciple. I will follow in Your will for my life, Father God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
