True biblical hope is more powerful than most believers realize. Before we get into a place of faith, we have hope. The Bible says our hope connects us to the very presence of God Himself. There are times when life’s storms rage around us. Like a mariner in a stormy sea at night catching a first glimpse of a lighthouse for a bearing, we can hold onto hope and plot a true course based on God’s word. We can expect a good end even when it looks like all is lost because we know from the Bible that God is for us. Hold onto hope and watch it grow into faith!

For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees? But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience. — Romans 8:24-25 (WEB)
