AUDIO VERSIONGO AND LOVE OTHERSSome people think bearing fruit means bringing lost souls to Jesus, but to bear fruit means something much larger, even than soul-winning.

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” John 15:16

The fruit Jesus is talking about is being like Jesus. To put it simply, bearing fruit means reflecting the likeness of Jesus. Growing more and more into Jesus' likeness is our purpose in life, and it has to be central to all our activities, lifestyle, and relationships.

All our gifts, callings, work, ministry, and witness must flow from this core purpose. If we are not like Jesus at heart and not becoming noticeably more like Him, we have missed God's purpose in our life.

God's purpose for us can not be fulfilled by what we do for Jesus; it can not be measured by anything we achieve. God's purpose is fulfilled in us only when we become like Him. It is not about what we do for Jesus but how we are transformed into His likeness.

We fulfill our life's purpose only as we love others as Jesus has loved us, and we grow more like Jesus as our love for others increases.

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.” John 15:9

Jesus' command is simple: Go and love others and give to others the unconditional love Jesus has shown us. We grow more like Jesus as our love for others increases. Bearing fruit comes down to how we treat people.

As you go about your day today, take a moment and pause before you react to people and ask yourself this question. “How would Jesus respond in this situation?”Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

“Heavenly Father, I desire that the beauty of Jesus be seen in me today and in the days to come. As Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and Your Holy Spirit lives within, I have all I would or could ever need. I will listen and obey Your Words so others will see You in me. I honor You, and I want my life to show You each and every day. Thank You, Father, for leading each day to be more like Jesus. In His name, Amen.”
